1980s: Establishing Roots
1980s: In its formative years, Jamyang London establishes itself as a hub for Buddhist teachings and meditation practices.
1990s: Growth and Expansion

1995
Jamyang London moves to the Old Courthouse in the London borough of Lambeth, marking a significant expansion for the center as it outgrows its original location in Finsbury Park.

1999
The magnificent 9-foot Buddha statue, crafted by Peter Griffin and consecrated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, is installed in the main Gompa, symbolizing the center’s commitment to spiritual practice and devotion.

2000s: Deepening Practice
Jamyang London solidifies its role as a leading Buddhist center in the UK, hosting teachings by eminent Tibetan Buddhist masters.
The center continues to thrive, offering a wide range of classes, teachings, and meditation sessions to a diverse audience.
2010s: Continuing Legacy
2018: Jamyang London celebrates its 40th anniversary, reflecting on decades of spiritual growth and community development.

The centre expands its programs to accommodate growing interest in Tibetan Buddhism and meditation practices.
Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Khadro-la honored Jamyang London with their visit, imparting profound teachings and guidance to the community.
Their presence infused the center with renewed inspiration, fostering spiritual growth and deepening the connection among practitioners.

2020s: Adapting to Change
Jamyang London navigates through the challenges presented by the global landscape, adapting its teachings and programs to accommodate online formats.
We maintained our commitment to providing authentic Buddhist guidance and fostering a supportive spiritual community. The centre welcomes our new resident teacher, Geshe Tenzin Namdak.
